Centenario Sezione A.N.F.I. di Luino

Il giorno giovedì 28 giugno 2007 a Luino (Va) ha avuto luogo la cerimonia per i festeggiamenti del Centenario della Sezione Associazione Nazionale Finanzieri d'Italia di Luino (A.N.F.I) La manifestazione, patrocinata dalla Presidenza Nazionale, dal Comune della Città di Luino e dagli enti locali ha avuto una numerosa partecipazione di quasi tutte le autorità provinciali. I festeggiamenti hanno coinciso con la cerimonia riguardante il 233° annivesario della fondazione del corpo della Guardia di Finanza.
Molte le autorità presenti: il Generale di Corps Giovanni Verdicchio, Vice President National ANFI, Vice President for North Italy Mauro ANFI Hats ANFI National Secretary, Major Joseph Ruggieri, Army Corps General Augusto De Laurentis, former second in command of the Guard Finance. Among the provincial authorities: the Prefect of Varese Roberto Aragno, the President of the Court of Varese Emilio Curt, representing one of Busto Arsizio, Judge Nicole Warren, the Chief Prosecutor of the Court of Varese Maureen Gray, the President of the Provincial Council Anna Maria Martelossi, Provincial Councillors Luke and Andrew Pellicini Marsico, President of the Community Montana Valli del Luinese Ido Locatelli, President of the Montana Community Valganna Valmarchirolo and Maria Sole De Medio, the Mayor of Varese Attilio Fontana, mayors of the Valleys of Luinese including the Mayor of Luino Gianercole Mentasti.
The celebrations started at 9.30 am in front of Piazza Risorgimento Control Company of the Guardia di Finanza Silanes, where participants gathered with banners and flags. The President of ANFI Luino MMA Leugio Francis, the company commander of the Guardia di Finanza Luino, Major Joseph Casilli and the Mayor of Luino Dr. Gianercole Mentasti have welcomed the authorities.
The event opened with the inauguration of the monument by the sculptor Franco Puxeddu (with the collaboration Ezio Negretti) has specially created for the centenary, entitled "Sky, Sea, Earth, indicating that the financial police is present everywhere in his work. The memorial sculpture in white stone of Vicenza, is 2 meters high and 2 meters wide and 30 to the base with a bas-relief bearing the coat of arms of the body. At about 11.15 am, the ceremony continued at the Town Hall Verbania, in the presence of the authorities, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Section ANFI Luino. During the celebrations at the palace Verbania, Professor Enrico Fuselli presented the excellent book "Flames of the Lake" published by Marco Cattaneo Editore. This book recounts the hundred years of historical activities of the Chamber and also shows an interesting documentation of the Greater Silanes Joachim, who is headed to the barracks and insights on financing Luino Angelo Cicero.
For the occasion, also at Palazzo Verbania, was inaugurated with an exhibition of historical documents and period uniforms designed by the Lord Salvatore Ferrara, who will be visited by the public until Sunday, July 15.
