PD: PRIMARY A LARGE ON 20 MARCH

The primaries of the Democratic Party to identify the candidate for mayor in local elections in May will be held March 20 in Vasto. The commissioner decided that the list of the Democratic Party who last night announced the decision to City Councillors and senior managers of the party. They were the provincial secretary of Chieti and Vasto commisssario, Giuseppe Di Camillo, and one of the deputy commissioner, Camillo D'Alessandro (Senator John Legnini, the other deputy, had been held in Rome), to read the document terminating the long standoff between the president of the council, Joseph Forte and the outgoing mayor, Luciano Lapenna. Fixed the date of the primaries, Sunday, March 20, the commissioners agreed that the submission of applications, carrying at least 45 signatures of support, there is no time until Saturday, March 5 to 12. There were moments of embarrassment last night, with the section of the Democratic Party to People's Square opened only after the intervention of the Treasurer, John Nocciolino, at around 20.30 (the time of the meeting was at 20). Absent Lapenna, which in his more 'aides insisted that not participate' in the primaries, Di Giuseppe D'Alessandro and explained the reasons for its decision, the appeal to the consultation di fronte all'impossibilita' di risolvere altrimenti la contesa.
